We’ve been in Michigan now near 6 months!!!
And, umm, it’s COLD OUTSIDE, BABY!! Seriously, I remember having a few lower than normal temps but this many!! Ugh!
No regrets…but let’s get back to the upper 20’s, OK?
Weather aside… some of the awesomeness of moving back to Michigan, which I fully anticipated, is the kids’ school; our vibrant , active parish; and the potential for great decorating clients!! The later of which just came to fruition in my first, “Back to Michigan” decorating project.
Naturally, I met my new friend…and decorating client…at both the school and parish!! We have a lot in common but I found it most interesting that almost 2 years ago we sat side by side at the Edel Gathering in Charleston, South Carolina!!
(The odds, PEOPLE!! For REALZ!!)
Well, when she hit me up for some decorating help I jumped in belly first (irresistible humor since I can’t see my feet anymore).
I was glad it was her since she’s so patient and down to earth and it brought back exciting memories from when I got my first start here as a decorator 9 years ago (has it been that long now).
At any rate, though her home is filled with great taste enveloped by great bones and a loving family of 8, she wanted a more put together look!! So, at our Initial Design Consultation I was busy measuring, snapping pictures, asking “wants and needs” questions to prepare for her eDesign using real sourced products for their approval.
Once they approved their product selection and loved the design, I ordered their products and set a date for their Interior Restyle (the fun part)!! On the date of her Restyle, she left for the day so I spent a good 4 hours putting it altogether for a welcome surprise.

Here are some of my pillows that I custom designed for my client because they are her favorite scripture quotes. It was so fun putting them together that I ordered up a few more for you guys. You can purchase these beauties under the pillows tab at Grace & Grit Design Co.
