This is the sweet and simple table I pulled together for our family this Easter. I went with a blue/gray and yellow theme this year to coordinate with my wall colors and my new Easter pillows. Have you check them out yet? I hope my own set come in soon so I can display them on the chairs I’ll be putting next to the buffet.
So, a quick side note… I usually have this amazing Pottery Barn table at full extension to seat 12 but we rarely use it, so since we are getting ready to sell our home and I wanted Easter to be a little more intimate this year, I reduced it to an 8 seater. And if you need any push to invest in a Pottery Barn…anything…you have my full permission. I get no commission from telling you that they rock. Every thing I have bought from them, from baskets to a huge sectional has endured 3 moves and 7 rambunctious children and still looks brand newish.
But I digress…
There’s not much to say about this table setting other than I wanted it to look beautiful and pretty and Springy. While it isn’t overly religious it shows the happiness which the Resurrection offers us. And I did keep in mind that 4 of my children are 4 and under so I had to make some key decorating decisions that wouldn’t scream…”Yeah, right!!” Specifically, I made our tablecloth with white butcher block paper in order to keep it fun and playful, and well, who needs them spilling everything on an heirloom tablecloth. Right?
That makes for everyone’s frustration on such a joyous day!!
But you can still have pretty!!!
And now for today’s Giveaway from Hatchprints!!
Katrina first declared she wanted to be an artist in preschool, but she didn’t actualize the dream until she was twenty-five with two toddler boys at her knees and a little girl on the way. She felt that there was a need for on trend and delicate artwork encouraging people through the words of holy men and women of heroic virtue, and so, Hatch Prints was born. Hatch Prints gets its name from Mary Hatch, the stellar wife of George Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life and the name is also an Easter reference to the new life the Resurrection granted us. Katrina grew up raising chickens for the fair, and her favorite dessert is fried bananas.
Here is her amazing Easter print that she has so generously offered to one of you lucky, beautiful people!
